First step: Create a Google account
To configure KACE Cloud to enroll Android devices, you must create the following accounts with Google:
- An account to use the Google Play services, such as the Play Store and enrolling devices using the traditional Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) Device Policy Controller (DPC) Android agent, also known as KACE Agent.
- An account to use with the Google Android Management API (AMAPI). This account is necessary to use the newer Google-provided Android agent.
Create these accounts in your organization's email system specifically for this purpose. Google does not permit the same account to be used for both services. After creating these email accounts, go to https://accounts.google.com and create a Google account linked with each of these accounts.
If you use multiple accounts and accidentally log in to Google Console with an account associated with a different enterprise, Google reports an error. To ensure you are using a valid account, verify your profile logo in the top-right corner, and click to choose a different account, if required.
